Welcome to ScandiXplore. By accessing our website, booking experiences, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
These Terms apply to all users of the ScandiXplore website and services.
1. About ScandiXplore
ScandiXplore is a curated travel experience platform offering a selection of guided tours, city games, photography experiences, private journeys and partner-operated activities.
ScandiXplore acts as:
- a curator of experiences
- a booking platform
- and, in some cases, an experience designer or operator
Many experiences listed on our website are operated by independent third-party partners.
2. Our Role
ScandiXplore:
- selects and presents experiences
- provides information and inspiration
- facilitates bookings through our booking platform
- designs custom experiences upon request
ScandiXplore is not the operator of all experiences.
For partner experiences, the experience provider is responsible for:
- delivery of the service
- safety
- staff
- equipment
- permits
- insurance
- and operational quality
3. Partner Experiences & Third-Party Providers
Some experiences available on ScandiXplore are delivered by independent partners. When you book a partner experience:
- You enter into a contract with the experience provider
- The provider’s own terms, conditions, cancellation policies and rules apply
- ScandiXplore is not responsible for the execution of the experience
ScandiXplore carefully selects partners, but cannot be held liable for the actions, omissions or performance of third-party providers.
4. Bookings & Payments
Bookings are processed via our booking platform (e.g. Bokun) or through embedded partner systems.
Depending on the experience:
- Payment may be processed by ScandiXplore, the booking platform, or the experience provider
- Availability and pricing are controlled by the experience provider
ScandiXplore does not guarantee availability and reserves the right to correct pricing or description errors.
5. City Games
City games available on ScandiXplore are provided by a third-party supplier (e.g. CityGames).
- ScandiXplore acts as a platform and reseller
- City games are self-guided experiences delivered digitally
- The game provider is responsible for content, functionality and delivery
- ScandiXplore is not responsible for technical issues within the game system
6. Private & Custom Experiences
ScandiXplore offers bespoke and custom-designed experiences.
When requesting a custom experience:
- You submit your ideas and preferences through our form
- We design a proposal based on your request
- Final pricing, scope and conditions will be agreed upon before confirmation
Custom experiences may include services delivered by third parties. In such cases, those providers remain responsible for their part of the service.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation and refund policies vary by experience and provider.
For partner experiences:
- The cancellation policy of the experience provider applies
- These terms are displayed at the time of booking
For ScandiXplore-operated or custom experiences:
- Cancellation terms will be provided during booking or in your proposal
ScandiXplore cannot override partner cancellation policies.
8. Changes & Force Majeure
Experiences may be changed, postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond control, including but not limited to:
- weather conditions
- natural events
- strikes
- government restrictions
- safety concerns
- technical issues
In such cases, the experience provider’s policy applies. ScandiXplore is not liable for losses resulting from force majeure events.
9. User Responsibilities
By booking an experience, you agree to:
- provide accurate information
- Follow the instructions given by guides or providers
- respect local laws, customs and safety rules
- behave respectfully towards guides, partners and other guests
ScandiXplore and its partners reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who behaves in a disruptive, unsafe or inappropriate manner.
10. Health, Safety & Fitness
Some experiences may involve physical activity, outdoor conditions or varying terrain.
You are responsible for:
- assessing your own fitness and ability
- informing providers of any health conditions
- wearing appropriate clothing and equipment
ScandiXplore is not responsible for injuries, accidents or health issues arising from participation in experiences.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- ScandiXplore is not liable for acts, omissions or failures of third-party providers
- ScandiXplore is not responsible for personal injury, loss, damage, delay or inconvenience caused by partners or external factors
- Liability for partner experiences lies with the experience provider
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the ScandiXplore website (text, images, branding, design) is the property of ScandiXplore or its licensors and may not be used without permission.
13. Privacy & Data Protection
Your use of our website and services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal data in compliance with GDPR.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Finnish courts.
15. Changes to These Terms
ScandiXplore may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
